Message About COVID-19

Dear Neighbor,

This is a scary time.

We’re worried about the health and safety of family and friends. We’re concerned about our neighbors who will suffer financial hardship. We’re scrambling for childcare and household staples.

We haven’t faced anything like this before.

I’m comforted to know our state and local leaders are trying hard to stay ahead of COVID-19. I’ve participated in daily state and county calls on this crisis. People are working around the clock to prepare for more cases of the virus and to prevent its spread.

Monroe County has put together vital online resources:

Department of Health Coronavirus Information and Hotline

Department of Human Services Information on Assistance

The United Way announced a portal to sign up to help:

United Way Volunteer Portal

We can each do our part to keep each other safe. We can practice social distancing. We can stay home if we don’t feel well. We can check on our neighbors.

If you have any questions or just want to chat, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The coming weeks will be tough. I also feel uneasy, but we will get through this together.
